Re: Records from Council
Thank you for your information request for information relating to the council’s work in
responding to the National Policy Statement on Urban Development. Please accept my
apologies for the delay in responding. The relevant council staff have been extremely busy
preparing the council’s response to the National Policy Statement on Urban Development in
the period between receiving your request and now.
The specific details of your request and our response is below:
“Please send me copies of all records the council holds which are relevant when:
a) assessing the impact that it's proposed NPS-UD qualifying matters will have on the
provision of development capacity; or
b) assessing the costs and broader impacts of the qualifying matters.
If you hold any records that are relevant, but not available to me via a LGOIMA request, then
please provide the title or summary and author for each.”
As required under the Resource Management Act, the council has recently notified its
Proposed Intensification Planning Instrument (Proposed Plan Change 78). This is a key part
of the council’s response to the National Policy Statement on Urban Development. The
information you have requested is contained within the section 32 evaluation report for
Proposed Plan Change 78. The specific parts of the section 32 evaluation report of relevance
are the overall evaluation report, parts 1-8 and the economy matters report. These documents
