“Please provide any and all communications, internal and external where Internal
Affairs has discussed or acted in using the Facebook takedown portal to refer articles
from The BFD news site.”
I have interpreted your request to be communications discussing the referral of
The BFD articles to the Facebook/Meta take-down portal.
Te Tari Taiwhenua | the Department of Internal Affairs (the Department) has not issued any
take-down notices or used the Facebook/Meta portal to send requests about content on the
website https://thebfd.co.nz. There are no communications within the Department, or sent
by the Department, regarding the referral of
The BFD articles to the Facebook/Meta take-
down portal. Your request is refused under section 18(e) of the Act; the information
requested does not exist.
You have the right, under section 28(3) of the Act, to seek an investigation and review by the
