Thank you for your email of 13 October 2023 to Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities requesting the 
following information under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
“Please provide a breakdown of costs and vendor names for advertising Teitei Drive to date, or 
any other forms of marketing Teitei Drive, or informing the public, or engagements, etc. This 
would include costs to news papers, bulletins, etc; a breakdown of all costs.” 
 
This response is the fifth and final tranche of information relating to 13 requests for official information 
that you made under the Act within a two day period between 11 and 13 October 2023 (this request is 
known as request eight). 
 
In 2023 Kāinga Ora conducted a number of community engagement related activities connected with 
the proposed development at Teitei Drive, Ohakune. This included two community barbeques (hosted 
jointly with Ruapehu District Council and Ngāti Rangi) to share information, connect with the 
community and listen to feedback. 
 
The costs incurred included advertising in the Ruapehu Bulletin, design costs associated with the 
advert, barbeque flyer, Corporate Care services and poster printing. Corporate Care services support 
our people during the course of their day-to-day work in certain circumstances where safety risks need 
to be managed, including during public events. 
 
Other one off community engagement costs incurred by Kāinga Ora include one off printing of letters, 
brochures and surveys. A full list of community engagement related costs for the Teitei Drive project, 
which Kāinga Ora withdraw from in February 2024, is provided below as Appendix One. Al  amounts 
listed are GST exclusive. 
 
Under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to seek an investigation and review by the
