(MBIE) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information:

Page 99 tel s about birth certificate. It says " we have developed the attached guidelines for that for
each scenario" I think some lines above it is referring to the issues like BC Unavailable, no name and
no parent's name Could you share the guidelines related to these questions for the BC on Page 99. I
am not sure if they are included in the same document 2. Could you tel for parent category how many
applications were submitted in December 2023, how many applications were declined from those
submitted in Dec 2023 how many applications were accepted for processing from those submitted in
Dec 2023 how many applications are with case officer from those submitted in Dec 2023 how many
applications are in a queue ( no case officer) from those submitted in Dec 2023 What is the estimated
time frame of all applications from Dec 2023 to have case officers and moved out of the queue I
understand that you may be publishing this info on website in March as was done in February but I am
not sure if the website wil have the exact information that I have requested.

Answer: Please refer to the attached Appendix for the information you have requested.

Could you tel for parent category how many applications were submitted in December 2023?
Answer: There were 572 Parent Resident Visa applications submitted in December 2023.
Question
How many applications were declined from those submitted in Dec 2023?
Answer: As at 12 April 2024, INZ has declined two Parent Resident Visa applications that were
submitted and accepted for processing in December 2023.
Question
How many applications were accepted for processing from those submitted in Dec 2023?
Answer: As at 12 April 2024, 436 applications were accepted for processing from the 572
applications submitted in December 2023.
Question
How many applications are with case officer from those submitted in Dec 2023 how many
applications are in a queue ( no case officer) from those submitted in Dec 2023?
Answer: All 436 applications that were submitted and accepted for processing have been assigned
to Immigration Officers for an initial assessment.
Question
What is the estimated time frame of all applications from Dec 2023 to have case officers and moved
out of the queue I understand that you may be publishing this info on website in March as was done
in February but I am not sure if the website wil have the exact information that I have requested.
Answer: As mentioned above, all applications accepted for processing in December 2023 have been
assigned to Immigration Officers for an initial assessment.
