Thank you for your email of 26 March 2024 to Wellington City Council (the Council) 
requesting the following information: 
•  … all correspondence, if any, relating to requests or inquiries about broadcasting the 
Call to Prayer from locations within the Wellington region. This should include but not 
be limited to email, texts and meetings between Wellington City Council staff, 
Council ors, the Mayor and her staff etc. 
On 25 April 2024, you refined the scope of your request to cover only communications  
between Council ors, the mayor and her staff. 
Wellington City Council has decided to grant your request for this information under the 
Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).  The material is 
currently being prepared for release, including us making any necessary redactions for 
contents that should be withheld or refused under sections 7 and 17 of the LGOIMA.  We 
expect to send the information to you by the end of May 2024. 
You have the right, by way of complaint under section 28(1) of the LGOIMA, to request an 
investigation and review of the Council’s decision by the Ombudsman. Information about
