OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST 24.37 Future Bul er correspondence
I refer to the Official Information Act (the Act) request dated 23 April 2024 for information relating to
correspondence and complaints regarding the Future Buller project. You have specifical y requested:

Future Buller is a col aboration between UC and Buller District Council.
The Future Buller team travelled about the Buller region in Nov and Dec 2023.
Tracey Hatton and Nohah Forde were two staff that attended the meetings.
Eight meetings were held and the attendance numbers were generally single digit, the last meeting at
Reefton was understood to have zero public involved.
Could I please request copies of the correspondence related to the tour and in particular any feedback
or reporting from the team.
There were formal complaints laid with both WCRC and BDC over the presentations. The earlier ones
were combined with a WCRC TTPP team.
One complaint was laid on the grounds of Economy, Effectiveness and Intent.
Many participants thought the process wasteful. There was general dissatisfaction.
I am requesting copies of any reports, including the complaints, and how they were dealt with.
We have transferred your request to the Bul er District Council (BDC). The information to which your request
relates is believed to be more closely connected with the functions of the BDC. In these circumstances, we are
