Thorndon Connections 
Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings 
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 31 January 2023. You requested the fol owing information: 
Please provide a digital copy of EVERY, or any, engineering drawing that details the present state-
of-play regarding proposed layout changes being considered for all the streets that form any part 
of the proposed Thorndon connections routes of the Bike Network. That is, all the routes outlined 
on this WCC page: Thorndon connections  |  Projects - WCC Transport Projects 
Wellington City Council has granted your request for information. However, please note that the 
below documents are outdated. These plans are from 2022 and do not reflect the current state of 
play. Significant changes to the designs have been made since then as a result of a Road Safety audit 
and ongoing discussions with our working group and key stakeholders in the area. 
Following the focus group between yourselves and the City Design Team next week, plans wil  be 
further updated to reflect feedback. We limit the number of design submissions to avoid re-work 
and manage version control. 
The attached plans are outdated and not finalised, have not been rendered for public view, and we 
recommend they are not shared widely as they will cause unnecessary confusion for the public. The 
City Design Team will be explaining the designs, at a high level, at the focus group next week 
and sharing the updated plans as part of the public consultation planned at for early March. We 
can provide you with the updated plans when we receive them later in February.

Right of review 
If you are not satisfied with the Council’s response, you may request the Office of the
