I am writing in response to the email you submitted 3 August 2020. Your request has been
considered pursuant to the Official Information Act 1982. Specifically you requested: 1. When the annual TOR summary report covering 2019 is currently anticipated to be published. 2. The reasons why the publication of this report has been delayed from July 2020. Answer to the question/s below
In response to question 1, the annual TOR summary report covering 2019 is now publically
available on the Police website, https://www.police.govt.nz/about-us/publication/tactical- options-research-reports.
The publication of the report was delayed from its original anticipated release in July due
to the review and consultation process in finalising the report taking longer than expected.
I trust you are satisfied with my response to your request. If not, you have a right under
section 28(3) of the Official Information Act 1982 to ask the Office of the Ombudsman to
seek an investigation and review of my decision. Yours sincerely
