Official Information Act request relating to COVID-19 response advisory groups 
 
Thank  you  for  your  request  made  under  the  Official  Information  Act  1982  (the  Act), 
received on 17 May 2021. You requested: 
 
“…For the COVID-19 Independent Continuous Review, Improvement and Advice 
Group I request, dated to 17 May: 
1. Copies of all meeting minutes 
2.  Copies  of  all  advice  provided  to  the  Minister  for  the  Covid-19  Response 
 
For  the  Strategic  COVID-19  Public  Health  Advisory  Group  I  request,  dated  to 
17 May: 
1. Copies of all meeting minutes 
2. Copies of all advice provided to the Minister for the Covid-19 Response and/or 
the Associate Minister for Public Health” 
 
I believe that the parts of your request for advice provided to Ministers is more closely 
connected  to  the  functions  of  those  Ministers.  Accordingly,  I  have  decided  under 
section 14(b)(ii) of the Act, to partially transfer your request to the Minister for COVID-
19  Response,  Hon Chris Hipkins,  where  it  relates  to  advice  provided  to  the  Minister 
from the COVID-19 Independent Continuous Review, Improvement and Advice Group.  
I am also partially transferring your request to the Associate Minister of Health, Hon Dr 
Ayesha  Verrall,  where  it  relates  to  advice  provided  to  the  Minister  by  the  Strategic 
COVID-19 Public Health Advisory Group. 
 
The remainder of your request has not been transferred, and DPMC will respond in due 
course. 
 
Both Ministers have the usual timeframes under the Act from receipt of this transfer to 
make their decisions on the respective parts of your request.
