A framework for wel being in under development. Al teachers and students are
responsible for managing personal wel being and creating an environment where
others can thrive. There are multiple threads growing wel being at KWS that will be
brought together and enhanced under the overarching framework
BULLYING
Creating a safe and positive environment where people feel they belong, where
strong relationships are built, and where diversity is valued, can be the best defence
against bullying.
SEXUALITY EDUCATION
Though the number of students who identify as transgender are few in number (1.2%),
schools are finding themselves at the centre of a debate about how to create policies that
respect the privacy, safety, and dignity of all the students under their care (Family First, 2020, 19)
