Innovation and Employment (MBIE), requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information:

for information. The request submitted asked about escalations of 2021

response as general correspondence.

 

The response that you received on 11 November 2022 in regards to the
prioritisation process provided the correct process.  Any requests for
prioritisation of employment based visas, including applications submitted
under the 2021 Residence Visa category, are to be made via the Employment
Visa Escalation process.

 

The Radio New Zealand article contained a sentence stating that ‘..we are
currently looking at options to see how we might give priority to 2021
Resident Visa applications involving separate families…’ and an item
specific to this situation is now available on the Immigration New Zealand
