after a seismic event.
Please provide the buildings current %nbs at IL4, the date of the last assessment, and the type of seismic assessment completed.
Alternately if you do not hold/cannot provide the above please provide the last seismic assessment for the buildings identified above

Dear Dominic Rikiti,
Thank you for your response.
You have indicated that all of the group members share a single ECC/EOC in Tau Whakamaru.
In your letter you indicate in 2010 a consultant engineering firm was engaged to provide services for the structural check and design of upgrade for importance level 4.
From this I take it that there was an existing building which was structurally upgraded via consented work. I am interpreting from this that the building was structurally upgraded to meet the current code requirement at the time. Or was a lower level of compliance targeted?

Your understanding is correct:
The ECC building is a relocated lockwood building that was erected on the
Environment Southland site in 2010.
During this process, Environment Southland applied to Invercargill City
Council (ICC) for variation of the building consent, to incorporate the
recommended changes from the structural review of upgrade to IL4. ICC
approved the variation to the building consent so it could meet IL4.
Therefore, you are correct to say that the building was structurally
upgraded to meet the current code requirement (for IL4) at the time.
