Dear New Zealand Defence Force,

For the last several days (week of Monday 20 November) a US Air Force C30J plane has been flying around Auckland, especially over the North and West.

Why is it here, and what it is doing?

Yours faithfully,

Good morning Brendon,

The New Zealand Defence Force understands that the United States Air Force
(USAF) was invited to attend Wings over Wairarapa 2023 (from 24-26
November). In attending this event, an opportunity was identified for the
USAF C-130J to assist the Parachute Training and Support Unit within Royal
New Zealand Air Force Base Auckland with some training. Flights in support
of that training were conducted in Auckland from 20-23 November ahead of
the USAF aircraft heading to Masterton for the Wings over Wairarapa event.

Regards
