This is a request for information under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
On 29 February 2024 I took the opportunity to provide public comment on behalf of myself and also on behalf of the Wainuiomata Rural Community Association Inc to the District Plan Committee of Hutt City Council.
During my public comment I complained that the submissions to the Draft District Plan had not been made publicly available. I also asked that the submission of the Wainuiomata Rural Community Association be appended to the minutes. In reply the chair undertook to seek to have all the submissions appended. This exchange was witnessed by other members of the public who were present at the meeting and others who watched the meeting online.
It was later found that the video of the meeting was edited and some of my public comments were removed.
This LGOIMA request is for a copy of the unedited video of the meeting as originally recorded and livestreamed.
