I would like to request a full playlist of songs, broken down by the artist and song title, which are played as the university's hold music.

Dear J Tims,

 

I refer to your request of 22 July 2021. The University uses two telephony
platforms: Cisco United Communications Manager and Microsoft Skype For
Business. Both these platforms provide music on hold as an integral part
of their phone systems. We do not know the names of the songs used in this
hold music (or whether the songs are named). This technically constitutes
a refusal of your request under 18(g) of the Official Information Act, as
the information requested is not held by the University and we have no
grounds for  believing that it is either held, or more closely connected
with the functions of, another department, Minister of the Crown,
organisation, or local authority. You have the right to make a complaint
about this response to an Ombudsman.

 

I note in passing that Cisco and Microsoft respectively may be able to
provide you with more information about their hold music. This article
