Ministry of Education requesting the following information:

I would like to ask information on how many Master students who graduated
between 2020-2023 received First Class Honours, and what is the percentage
of this compared to the whole population of Masters graduates.

Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982
(the Act).

The Ministry does not hold the specific breakdown of the degree a student
graduates with – we only hold information as to whether the student
completed courses and qualifications. As such, we are refusing your
request in full under section 18(g) of the Act, as the information
requested is not held by the Ministry, and we have no grounds for
believing that it is either held by or connected more closely with the
functions of another department or organisation subject to the Act.

review my decision on your request, in accordance with section 28 of the
