Please provide copies of agendas, minutes and associated papers from all
four Regional Integration Team meetings between 1 October 23 and 18 March
2024.

This email is to let you know that Health NZ needs more time to make a
decision on your request.

The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day we received your request.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and we are
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our
decision, to 17 May 2024.

This extension is required because consultations necessary to make a
decision on your request and as such a proper response cannot reasonably
be made within the original time limit.

Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act) for:
 
Please provide copies of agendas, minutes and associated papers from all
four Regional Integration Team meetings between 1 October 23 and 18 March
2024.
 
On 27 May 2024, we advised we need more time to make a decision on your
request.
 
Response
 
We have identified approximately 100 documents within scope of your
request from the four Regional Integration teams.
 
Pursuant to section 15(1)(a) of the Act, Health New Zealand | Te Whatu
Ora, is writing to advise you that a decision has been made on your
request; however, it will take us some time to prepare the information for
release. However, as it stands, some information will be refused under the
following provisions:
 

* Section 9(2)(a) – to protect the privacy of natural persons.
* Section 9(2)(b)(ii) – to avoid unreasonable prejudice to a commercial
position.
* Section 9(2)(f)(iv) – to maintain the constitutional conventions for
the time being which protect the confidentiality of advice tendered by
Ministers of the Crown and officials
* Section 9(2)(ba)(i) – where making the information available would be
likely to prejudice the supply of similar information, or information
from the same source, and it is in the public interest that such
information should continue to be supplied.
* Section 9(2)(g)(i) – to maintain the effective conduct of public
affairs through the free and frank expression of opinions
* Section 9(2)(ii) – to enable a department or organisation holding
information to carry out commercial activities
* Section 9(2)(j) – to enable a department or organisation holding
information to carry out negotiations
* S18(d) – the information requested is or soon will be publically
available
